The people of Kenya are a gracious, compassionate people with very big hearts for God. They are passionate about Him and want their nation to know Him. I have learned that God is not Ameican and his primary language is not English but Love. Each nation I go to I see a different facet of God and His kingdom is so much bigger than I thought a year ago. Going to the nations has stretched my heart and my understanding of God and his heart for his people. To see how God loves on His people in other “worlds” than my own broadens who God is for me. Prophesying over people without an interpreter and just knowing that God does the interpretation as the prophetic words go from my spirit to their spirit with the Holy Spirit as the translator leaves me in awe. God does not speak English as well as He speaks LOVE. I have long thought and understood God in my English American mindset, I am so excited as I see, learn and experience more outside of my comfort zone and my familiarity. Discovering the God is so much greater, bigger, wiser, than I ever imagined.
It was amazing to see that just about everyone on the team of 19 people from many different churches including me hit the ground in Kenya with a passion to bring the Father’s love (even the leader carried this passion) to these people. This unity was powerful to bring the Father’s love to the people we met. Kenya has the highest number of orphans than any other nation in the world so the orphan spirit is prevalent. The highlight of the trip was when the Holy Spirit came with a baptism of love that fell in the church in Bungoma with everyone on their knees. I am so blessed to have been a part of this team. Our worship times took me to a new level of intimacy with the Father and being able to worship with these highly gifted, anointed, passionate lovers of God was such a gift. I can’t wait to see where God sends me next to learn more about Him.
